Laura specializes in web
and content development, design, and theory; her chief research
area is website usability. She obtained a Master of Arts in English
and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Technical Writing from the
University of North Carolina system in 2003. She completed her Bachelor
of Arts degree in English and Psychology in 2000.
Previously, Laura served
as Assistant Program Specialist of the SERVE Regional Education
Laboratory at the University of North Carolina. Her duties included
production, design, and development of research products and publications;
editing and providing feedback on articles, research documents,
training materials, and assisting in the conduct of research and
development.
In addition to web and
graphics work, Laura is developing a film project/screenplay in
conjunction with Penney Enterprises of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Previously, Laura worked as a script polisher on Utopia, a film
by Mark Penney, currently in preproduction with Warner.
Laura resides in the Allentown
area of downtown Buffalo, NY where she lives with her beloved cats,
Mercury, Minerva, and Venus. Laura is an avid football fan; her
hobbies include creative writing, photography, poetry, music, and
spending time with her nephew Nick.
