Previously, Laura served as Assistant Program Specialist of the SERVE Regional Education Laboratory at the University of North Carolina. Her duties included production, design, and development of research products and publications; editing and providing feedback on articles, research documents, training materials, and assisting in the conduct of research and development.

Laura resides in the Allentown area of downtown Buffalo, NY. She is an avid football fan; her hobbies include creative writing, photography, poetry, music, and spending time with her nephew Nick.
